The Comeback
The Comeback

The Peer-support Recovery Programme and Drop-In Service run by by Creative Start Arts In Heath CIC for people in Grimsby and Cleethorpes  wanting recovery from addiction and who are ready to make a change.

Although there is support for people in active addiction available in Grimsby and Cleethorpes, there is very little support and limited activities for people who are in a programme of abstinence.

'The Comeback' is a recovery drop-in, art  gallery and studio workspace in Grimsby.

A space to make new connections, meet others in recovery from addiction and help all our members create works of art to help rebuild their confidence and self-esteem.

Friendship and community can be really important for anyone who is in early recovery. When people first become free of addiction, they can feel lonely, highly vulnerable and have a lot of uncertainty about the future.

Spending time with others in recovery as part of our community can be inspirational and fun, living proof that it is possible to build a good life away from addiction.

Creative Start work from a recovery-focused, lived-experience approach. Because of this, they only accept self-referrals.

They believe recovery begins with choice, agency, and willingness. For that reason, they ask that individuals contact them themselves, rather than being referred on their behalf by another service.

If you’re interested in what Creative Start do, the best way to start is to:

Call directly, or attend one of their open meetings every Monday at 11am at The Comeback, and the recovery 'Eat and Meet' every Thursday between 11am and 3pm at the Great Escape, where anyone can just turn up and ask any questions that might be concerning them.
